That would be a plus, too, as I do own and use an iPod. As I have a large amount of music purchased through iTunes, it would be nice if I could listen to them on Hyperion. It would be convenient, but I'm not nearly as interested in this as in playing. If it's not something that can be resolved with 15 minutes of work as it seems to have taken you already , please don't worry about it, as I can get by without. It should be available under the Applications menu on the CWs.

Is it about syncing audio files?
Since i don't have any AAC files i keep my media in free formats whenever possible i haven't been able to test the plugins myself. But this is probably the wrong place to have that discussion. Please try totem again from hyperion when you get a chance with your AAC files you may need to restart any existing totem instances to get it to see the new plugins.

This really isn't a huge deal. I'm closing this since presumably aq workaround has been found; if it's still an issue, undeerstand reopen with new info.
I googled for sample files, but wasn't immediately ms. Converting data to MP3 I find is an unnecessary pain for me, as I'm happy with the iTunes setup; this is the first time I've had issues with AAC compatibility in the last several years.

For future use, i strongly recommend that you re-encode your music to mp3 or ogg to avoid "apple coming up with new ways to prevent it". I can think of a couple of alternatives, but they all seem much more annoying than simply getting an AAC-compatible player: Description I'd like Banshee music player installed uncerstand Hyperion.
Can you point me to an AAC file that i can use to experiment myself? Carlos, if you read taka's comments above, it sounds like he principally needs AAC compatibility, which i think i've enabled on hyperion with the gstreamer plugins.

Banshee is one of the few players that's design to work with Apple's ipod, I think that may also be a drawing point for many of the banshee users. Formats that are public mp3 or, preferably totally free ogg are your only long-term way to retain control over your data.
Can you describe how you'd like to use your iPod with your CW? Daniel's point about iPod compatibility is also a good one. If it works for your data or if it doesn't! Taka, please read the comment on this ticket and let us know what you think.

Ticket closed enhancement: None of these concerns suggest aac over mp3 or ogg, except the first one: Totem, as it's currently set up, cannot ,p3. Replying to dkg astro.
